Welcome to Chester Environmental Partnership Online
The Chester Environmental Partnership has positioned itself as an environmental watchdog agency concerned about the health and welfare of residents of the City of Chester and surrounding communities. Our focus is our determination to address and seek resolution for the health impacts of environmental hazards such as air toxics, hazardous waste, and water pollution. Representatives from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, health institutions, local government, local businesses and industry, and the community come to the table to develop collaborative strategies to protect the community and to resolve issues that may arise from time to time.

NOTE: Contact Numbers are provided for residents of the City of Chester, Pennsylvania. All other residents, please contact your local municipalities.

December 11, 2018 Condolences to family and friends of John G. Waffenschmidt
It is with sincere and deepest sadness that we heard of the passing of our colleague and friend, John Waffenschmidt. John was a tireless fighter for justice and equality for all people. Even though his professional career directed him to work in corporate America, he never forgot that people were the most important issue in business. John worked with Chester Environmental Partnership to formulate a working relationship between business industry regulator agencies and the community to deal with issues that concern the health and welfare of communities and he was nationally known for development of an Environmental Justice policy for industry that is highly respected throughout the country. There are not enough words in the English vocabulary to describe the loving, kind and consider person that of John Waffenschmidt. Our community, our organization and the world as a whole is a better place because of John.
We humbly submit this condolences with love and respect for the Waffenschmidt family and we want you to know our prayers are with you at this time of your great loss. Thank you so much for allowing John to be share with others.
